The electric butterfly valve is composed of an electric actuator and a butterfly valve, it's widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries. Commonly used electric butterfly valves include wafer-type and flange-type. And with the assistance of electric actuators, the development of butterfly valves has reached a new level.
Valve Driving Force:
The electric device drives the valve stem to cause the butterfly plate to rotate 90° to open and close the valve.
Working Principle:
The principle of the electric butterfly valve is actually very simple. Just like the razor used daily, the energy source is electricity. The electricity drives the operation of the valve plate, thereby opening and closing the valve and flowing or blocking the fluid. By inputting a 220V power supply, the switching value can be adjusted directly, or a servo module can be built-in, and the operation can be controlled by inputting a control signal (4~20mADC or 1~5VDC) and single-phase power supply.
The electric actuators of electric butterfly valves can be divided into switch type and regulating type. The switching-type electric butterfly valve functions as a switch, while the regulating electric butterfly valve functions to regulate the flow, and can accurately adjust the flow to a thousandth of a degree. It is also a relatively expensive valve.
The adjustable type itself has a feedback signal, while the switch type can choose whether to install a feedback signal according to the customer's specific needs. Electric plastic butterfly valve, also known as a PVC electric butterfly valve, uses an integrated electric actuator and a plastic butterfly valve. The regulating type is powered by an AC220V power supply and receives the preset parameter value 4~20mA (weak current control such as 0~5) signal from the industrial automation control system to complete the adjustment action.
Electric butterfly valves are widely used in petroleum, gas, chemical industry, water treatment, cooling water systems of thermal power stations.
Electric Butterfly Valve Installation:
Electric butterfly valves use studs to connect the valve between two pipe flanges. Flange-type electric butterfly valves have flanges on the valve, and bolts are used to connect the flanges at both ends of the valve to the pipe flanges. If an electric butterfly valve is required to be used as flow control, the main thing is to correctly select the size and type of the valve. The structural principle of the electric butterfly valve is especially suitable for making large-diameter valves.
Note:
As a device installed in a pipeline, it seems not very practical to check its switching status on the spot, so there is a feedback signal. When placing the electric butterfly valve, ensure that the electric device is not squeezed and the terminals are not damaged, and prevent contact with corrosive substances. Handle with care when handling to avoid damaging electrical components and mechanical parts.
